What is The Jade Arcana?
The Jade Arcana is a 132-painting tarot deck created by Jade Fellows-Smith. It is built around six suits — Aether, Pneuma, Ignis, Terra, Lux, and Anima — each one a sacred realm in a single long story about soul and transformation. Every card began as an original oil painting, the printing is offset on linen-finish stock, and the gold is real foil.
The artist
Jade Fellows-Smith is a Vancouver-based painter and tarot reader. The Jade Arcana is her first deck. She paints every morning before the light shifts, and she still answers her own emails.
The process
Each card began as a pencil study, then a watercolour, then a final illustration on hot-pressed paper. The deck was scanned at archival resolution, hand-corrected for colour, and printed by a small press in Quebec. Every box is finished by hand.
